Kettler Weatherproof Indoor/Outdoor foosball table review(~900$)

Kettler Weatherproof Foosball table review | Best Foosball Tables 101

After some digging I was only able to find a few worthy models – and Kettler Weatherproof is one of them. In all honesty, I don’t see why would you ever need any other model specialized in outdoor usage like Garlando 500, except of the weight issue.

This Italian made table is the cheapest option (you can just search for ‘outdoor foosball’ and see for yourself) and it is also one of the highest quality available.

The only downside I could see is the fact that it lacks counterbalanced men. But this is exactly the type of marketing feature that doesn’t affect the gameplay ever.

It still features important stuff like leg levelers, ‘unbreakable’ (whatever that means) players and telescopic steel rods, which is just awesome.

So don’t overthink this matter and go with the most proven product currently available. $1,000 is a starting price for the absolute majority of outdoor foosball tables and there’s no need to go further than any Kettler model for about $1100, they are the safest bet.

Warrior Professional foosball table review (~$590)

Warrior foosball table review

Can’t say enough good things about Warrior! If I’m not mistaken, it’s the cheapest table recognized by ITSF. Honestly, that’s the best recommendation. Yes, it costs more than $500, but if there is a table worth spending extra $100 on it’s this one. The whole idea of writing foosball table reviews was about showing how good Warrior Pro is.

In my eyes his table is the only offer where you don’t have to make compromises. I still can’t understand how did they manage to put such a low price on to such an awesome and (screw it) FLAWLESS table. I’m not joking, this table even manages to combine american and european playing styles. If you’re a fan of european pin ball control (which is incredibly hard to do on Tornado), you need a worthy hobby and you’re looking for a way to spend your time with some benefit to your mind and body, then Warrior is the way to go. This is not your usual low quality, rotten piece of wood.

Despite such a low price, it’s sturdy, relatively lightweight and provides smooth gameplay. The company ships only one model of foosball tables and they’ve put all their time into it. They’ve also done a lot to bring foosball to the mainstream audience. It’s a tough task ahead of them and they deserve respect for fighting this uphill battle.

Honestly, this is a dream option for small budget. Just get a proper ball and you’ll enjoy this table for years, no jokes.

*Edit: since I first wrote this post the Warrior company has noticeably raised the price (a few times), making this table even less fitting to the category ‘under $500’.

Reddit foosball tips on purchasing a table

I still recommend this model and manufacturer, despite the changes. It’s still the only option where you don’t have to compromise, still great price and great quality. Also, and it’s not like I recommend doing this, but you can literally bargain with the manufacturer directly on reddit foosball. I’ve seen them give seroious discounts/pr campaigns numerous times and you can contact people from the company. Or just leave a comment and someone will respond). It’s not difficult to get a brand new table for $600.

American Heritage Carlyle Foosball Table (~800$)

american heritage carlyle foosball table review | Best Foosball Tables 101

The second classiest I could find and the winner of this category! Yes, when comparing this table to Carmelli Millennium the latter won in terms of gameplay quality.

But the ability to perform all complex shots is not something that an average customer needs. People prefer sturdy, durable models. Carlyle nails this aspect.

It is still a great table to play on for advanced players: hollow rods, counterbalanced men, adjustable leg levelers, very nice feeling wooden handles. Really, it would be unfair of me to complain.

To summarize the review: Carlyle’s main competitor among my picks Carmelli Millennium looks good and plays great. Hovewer, American Herritage Carlyle undisputably wins me over with elegant design and a whole bunch of awesome features as a bonus. If you can afford the price, it will make your living room a better place.

Harvill Tabletop mini foosball (~60$)

My only true love in this category, it provides the best value for your money and looks very, very nice. Just like FX40 this one comes with non-marking pads which is a nice feature to have. The general impression is that, compared to other ones in this category, much more thought was put into creating this table.

As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve even added 3 goalies! It just pushes all the right buttons for more mature audience. Even the horrible plastic handles aren’t as bad here. This model is awesome not because of some unique feature, but rather because it doesn’t have the downsides you expect to see.

Just to be fair I guess I have to mention assembly time, relatively longer than most similar tables.

Tornado Foosball Tables Review

tornado 3000 foosball table review

Well, if kept short, Tornado is probably the most popular and well-designed foosball table out there. It can be found in bars all over the world and is the commonly agreed standard for tournaments.  It celebrates precise, drill-heavy/zero mistakes style of play, hence professionals love it.

It’s also one of the most expensive tables around, no surprises here. But since that’s not what  we’re going for (and it’s just a no-brainer when it comes to actual purchase) you won’t find big paragraphs or tips about Tornado. Important thing to mention is that the non-tournament model costs only about 1,200$ (which is basically a half of the price of Tornado Tournament 3000 Foosball table) and still provides all the great features you would want, except the coin op feature that is used to monetize tables in bars/pubs.

So, tl;dr:

The price can vary greatly. The cheapest you can find will probably be on a local sale, or used in tournaments, somewhere in the range between $500-$600 is a good deal. Online is usually more expensive.

Hathaway Playoff Soccer Table (~$110)

Hathaway Playoff Foosball Table

All around great table for such a low price.

It’s not gonna last forever, but you will be able to get a few years out of it. At least it’s partially MDF, which is a serious advantage over similar plastic models. Not as solid as American Legend Charger. It’s realtively small and ligthweight.

Hathaway Playoff was obviously designed to appeal to kids and I’ve mentioned that this is an important criteria for this category. With lots of colourfull graphics on the inside and outside of the playing cabinet, kids will probably love this table.

Overall, this is a great ‘starter’ table. Given the price you won’t have to worry about it’s condiiton.
